Happy World Bear Day

I signed up for April A2Z today! It’s the first time in several years that I did this officially, but what the heck, right? I already have posts A through L written and scheduled, including images. (I should be OK for space because I bought extra Google storage and decreased the image sizes besides.) My theme is Misty Memories, and it’s great to peruse old photo albums for ideas. Not all memories are happy ones… and not all are accurate either. I regularly remind readers (and myself) of this.

I decided not to stress about when I first participated back on WP because those posts aren’t available now anyway. So, I just said that this will be my first round of A2Z. Hopefully, other bloggers will visit and create a bit more buzz in my comment section. Recently, I’ve followed more blogs and have been commenting more often too. I’ve always felt at home in a community of writers, which has an entirely different vibe from book clubs (though book clubs can be great, of course), and while I don’t want to return to my obsessive WP-level of interaction, a little more would be nice.

Some peeps might think that writing posts in advance is edging back into OCD territory, and to that I say pffft. Now go celebrate World Bear Day while I contemplate what I want to write for M.

  1. OCD? Bah. Every blogger has a different way of doing things. That's what makes blogs interesting -- the individuality.

It's true indeed that not all memories are accurate. I have some memories about which, I've concluded, I'll never know for sure whether they really happened or not.

No clue what April A2Z is, but I guess I'll be finding out here when next month comes.

  2. I thought about joining A2Z for the discipline of it but it is all too much - sign up, link here, click that - if I wanted a job I would get one that paid. I've moved blogs, changed URLs so many times that I have lost all my readers but since I have been deep in bereavement depression these last 2 years whatever I have written is a little tough for people to want to follow along. I have my WP blog and I just made a blogger blog which is a content dupe just for the fun of it. Blogger is fun to format! But you are right about commenting, I'm just bad with innocuous comments, so I comment very little despite a substantial blog reading list. I will probably remain a silent reader but look forward to you keeping me entertained.

  3. Hi Grace! Yes, I too have had problems in the past getting my info to “take” on the official form, but this year it popped on easy peasy. Maybe they’ve fixed it? Anyway, for the first time in years, I am feeling the urge to blog a bunch, and so I went for it. My A2Z is personal, not informative, so I hope you will find something of interest here and there. Thanks for reading! I found your newest blog and followed it 😀

  4. I follow music blogs and personal blogs - "informational" blogs not all. I enjoy reading about people's lives, their likes and dislikes, their kids, pets, jobs, frustrations with the world at large - you know life. LOL Whatever you post will be of interest. Thanks for following - can't say how often or how interesting anything will be.
